History is one of the core Humanities disciplines. Interdisciplinary work within the Humanities often involves the integration of an historical perspective with that obtained from another Humanities discipline such as literature, philosophy, art, or music.

The following courses with the generic label History are sufficiently interdisciplinary in scope to be listed as core courses for the Humanities program:

All other Athabasca University courses with the generic label HIST are acceptable as electives within the Humanities degree programs.
