The study of literature is one of the core Humanities disciplines. Interdisciplinary work within the Humanities often involves the integration of a literary perspective with that obtained from another Humanities discipline such as history, philosophy, art, or music.

The following courses with the generic label ENGL are sufficiently interdisciplinary in scope to be listed as core courses for the Humanities program:

All other courses with the generic label ENGL except 100-level ENGL courses and ENGL 255 are accepted as electives within the B.A. (Humanities).
